Royal DSM partner in Food Boost Challenge

We are proud to announce that DSM is now a business partner in our Food Boost Challenge. This challenge is calling the next generation to design innovative food concepts, apps, games, new routes to markets and hotspots in co-creation with companies like DSM. The goal is to increase the consumption of healthy food focused on fruit and vegetables among adolescents.

We are looking for ways to work with young people, to find innovative and creative ways to boost awareness of healthy food. Foodvalley’s Food Boost Challenge supports us in this ambition."

Recipe for a healthy next generation

Foodvalley NL joins forces with HortiHeroes, and Medical Delta Living Lab VIT for Life in the Food Boost Challenge. Starting in September 2021, they are going to challenge students and companies to gain insights, discover new solutions and innovative ideas to tempt younger people to make healthier choices when it comes to their eating habits. By working directly with the target group (adolescents) and linking them to start-ups, SME’s and corporates covering the entire food chain, we believe the biggest impact can be achieved in making the healthy choice the easy choice.

André van Wageningen (DSM) continues: “We are convinced that the challenge is a great platform to get in touch with young people and better understand their views on food and learn from them. To produce food that is good for both people and planet, it is important for DSM to have a good perspective and understanding of what is going on in the world. For example, what do young people experience as healthy, how do you make healthy food tasty and more attractive, and what is needed to do this?”
