The New Frontiers in Food Fast Forward (NF4) project that supports the internationalization of SMEs is organising innovation tours to the USA and China. Registration is now open.

Value chains

The NF4 project centres on three value chains: processed foods, health and nutrition food products, and – in the United States – “connected food”, which covers the use of IT in the food industry. SMEs that want to become involved in the project can choose the area most relevant to their business, as well as the international market that most interests them.

Vouchers

Companies can also apply for different internationalisation vouchers to help cover travel and trade show registration costs, co-funded by the EU’s COSME project which aims to improve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized European firms.

China

The NF4 innovation tour to China will take place from May 12th-17th 2019. The innovation tour explores and facilitates entry to the Chinese food and beverage market. The main focus of this innovation tour will be on the value chain of processed foods. SME’s dealing with processed foods or ingredients can investigate the possibilities and challenges of doing business in China.

Two important agri-food regions in China will be visited. The tour also includes a visit to SIAL China, the third largest food and beverage exhibition in the world. Over 100.000 professionals in this industry will be present during the SIAL and more than 3000 experts will show their products related to food innovation.

Next to a visit to Shanghai, this tour also includes a visit to Xiamen, where Foodvalley China will welcome the participants and facilitate matchmaking and company visits in this agriculture and food region.

Future Food Tech

Looking for new partners, investigating for potential business and challenges in the USA? The New Frontiers in Food Fast Forward (NF4) project also organizes an innovation tour to Chicago & Milwaukee area and San Francisco for SME’s to jointly explore and facilitate entry to the market for food tech and process food companies. This tour will enable  contacts in two important agri-food regions as well as a visit of the Future Food Tech Summit  in San Francisco 2019.
