Rival Foods, Willicroft, Grassa and De Nieuwe Melkboer selected for the Protein Fastlane Programme

Protein Fastlane Programme is a programme designed to support promising ventures in expediting their journey towards a big series A investment round by giving them access to experts and coaching.  In May the start of the programme was announced. Since then, we received a lot of positive reactions and applications.

Number of companies who are able to enroll has been doubled

The initial applications were reduced down to twelve and, after adding an extra selection step, identified to six ventures. These companies presented themselves on Thursday the 29th of July. The day started with the unexpected news that InvestNL had decided to double the number of companies that could participate in this edition. Wilco Schoonderbeek of InvestNL indicated that the number and quality of applicants had led to the decision to give more entrepreneurs the ability to enroll in the tailormade program.

Selection day

During the selection day the ventures had to present their company to a series of different experts and panels who scored the companies on their strategy, competitive edge, team, ambition, financials and consistency in their execution. Ultimately, we could give Rival Foods, Grassa, De Nieuwe Melkboer and Willicroft the good news that they are selected to participate in the first edition of the Protein Fastlane.

The programme will kick-off in September with an assessment of the companies to determine their most pressing scaling barrier. After that, a tailormade support program will be designed together with the venture.
