Hein Kruyt, Solynta, the Netherlands
Solynta is a breeding and biotechnology company which develops and applies new breeding technologies to convert potatoes into a hybrid crop, with potential to unlock billions of dollars in farmgate revenue. New potato varieties offer better characteristics for consumers, processors and farmers while having lower environmental impact.
Hein is currently CEO of Solynta. Hein has a long career in finance and strategy, starting as a lieutenant in the Royal Dutch Navy followed by several functions at Royal Numico-Danone, Hero Group, management consultancy with Price Waterhouse Coopers and afterward joining De RuiterSeedsGroup as CFO. After Monsanto acquired De Ruiter Seeds in 2008, Hein was a member of the European Vegetable Leadership Team. In 2010 became Monsanto’s Global Integrated Finance Lead working from St.Louis, MO, USA. Hein is an alumnus of the University of Groningen (MBA), the Erasmus University Rotterdam (Executive Master of Finance & Control) and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA.

Henri Hekman, AgroCares, the Netherlands
AgroCares is a global Agtech company that delivers cutting edge data solutions to measure nutrients and other key parameters in soil (SoilCares), in feed (FeedCares) and in leaf (LeafCares), which ultimately lead to sustainable yield and production increase.
Henri, Founder of AgroCares, used to work in the rubber and petrol industry. In 2001, he became CEO of BLGG, one of the biggest agricultural laboratories in Europe, which he eventually brought in 2005. In 2013 after selling BLGG, Henri started AgroCares with staff from the former research department of BLGG and from NMI (Nutrient Management Institute). AgroCares delivers data solutions to measure nutrients and other key parameters in soil, feed and leaf which ultimately leads to sustainable yield and production increase.
Each year World Agri-Tech attracts important delegations from Europe, Israel, Asia and Australia and is where valuable business connections are made to accelerate the transition of technology from the laboratory to the field.
