ME-AT offers a sustainable solution to the growing demand for (alternative) proteins making it easier for consumers to opt for a meat-free day.
These products are tasty and affordable, but also healthy. The NPD team therefore has invested a lot of time and effort in developing products that are low in salt, low in saturated fat, high in protein and high in fibers. Next to that vitamin B12 and iron can be added to offer a complete substitute for traditional meat. Most products can be supplied within the targets of ‘het voedingscentrum’ (Centre for nutritional health). Next to that they have a ‘green’ score within Nutriscore and are off course very tastefull.
The product range goes from a fresh burger and mince to sausages, chuncks and schnitzels. These products are sold under private label to retail and foodservice within the Netherlands and abroad.
ME-AT believes in the fact that not everyone around the world has the same taste profile, that is why ME-AT invests in partnerships to develop together with the customer the perfect product for their market.
The next step for ME-AT is to source the proteins locally from a balanced chain (farm to fork). With multiple chain partners and stakeholders we are setting up this chain. The target is to grow a protein rich bean within the Netherlands that brings value to every part of the production chain, so from the farmer all the way up to the end-consumer.
