FrieslandCampina has more than 130 years of commitment to sustainable dairy. The commercial activities of FriesLandCampina are carried out in four market-oriented business groups: Consumer Products Europe, Consumer Products International, Cheese, Butter & Milkpowder, and Ingredients.
The milk that is produced by the dairy farmers, who are member of the dairy co-operative and possess all the shares of Royal FrieslandCampina. In FrieslandCampina's long-term business strategy a number of global value drivers have been defined: infant & toddler nutrition, dairy based beverages, and branded cheese.
The development activities for dairy based beverages, yoghurt and desserts are based in Wageningen, where dairy drinks are developed for FrieslandCampina brands in mainly Europe, Asia an Africa. As of mid 2013 the new FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre at the Wageningen University campus in the heart of Food Valley will house approximately 400 R&D employees from all business groups, bringing research and development teams that are currently scattered in the Netherlands under one roof.
