The test is based on measurement of the activity of carrot specific genes related to resistance to black spot fungi. Activation of such genes indicate a certain risk for the development of black spots caused by at least 5 different fungi (among others Mycocentrospora acerina, Alternaria radicina and Mycocentrospora acerina).
