In the bustle of Food Valley, new companies get plenty of room to flex their wings. Much of our effort goes towards helping promising innovations reach the global market. We create the conditions to lower the threshold, remove the obstacles and break new ground. A good climate for newcomers is part of a healthy business climate!
Food Valley Consortium
Food Valley participates in the Food Valley Consortium, which supports business start-ups. Starting entrepreneurs can come to Food Valley for:
• a personal loan (pre-seed loan);
• active support in patent requests;
• equipment and facilities brokerage; and
• guidance in starting a technology and knowledge-intensive company.
Other participants in the Consortium are Wageningen UR, Ontwikkelingsmaatschappij Oost Nederland NV and Biopartner Center Wageningen BV.
BioPartner Center Wageningen
BioPartner Center Wageningen acts as a catalyst and incubator for Food Valley. BioPartner offers more than 10,000 square meters of space which is entirely adaptable to the needs of the occupant. This center houses offices, labs, storage space and multifunctional facilities that can be used for pilot production. This is the ideal environment for fledgling and start-up companies and established business that want to try their hand at something new.
The incubator is unique, offering flexible workspace, facilities, service and support. Its surroundings are equally uncommon. BioPartner is located in a unique environment teeming with knowledge, where there is a wealth of opportunity. The incubator offers easy access to coaching, guidance and support in the fields of business and legal advice, as well as intellectual property acquisition. BioPartner can also put you in touch with its own network of investors (informal and venture capital) and point you to other cash-raising channels. What’s more, new businesses can make use of the networks, knowledge, facilities, and services offered by BioPartner’s own partners: TechnoPartner, Wageningen UR, Oost NV, Food Valley, Syntens, Wageningen municipality’s 'City of Life Sciences' and the Province of Gelderland.
