Top Institute Food & Nutrition (TIFN) is the government-funded agency devoted to maintaining and expanding the Netherlands’ leading position in food-related research. TIFN supplies the knowledge needed to answer practical queries from the business community. TIFN is a continuation of the Wageningen Centre for Food Science, which was a successful collaboration between government and business. At TIFN businesses and research institutes can join forces to solve complex innovation issues. TIFN received a € 61 million subsidy from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
FND
Food & Nutrition Delta is an innovation program aimed at making the Netherlands the leading Food & Nutrition Region in Europe. Its strategy is to help Dutch companies achieve inspiring and groundbreaking innovations. The ambition is to make the Dutch knowledge network an indispensible source of R&D expertise for anyone seeking to innovate or develop products. The FND innovation program is meant to make the Dutch food industry even more competitive. FND helps improve consumers’ health and sense of well-being while strengthening the economic position and knowledge base of small and medium-sized businesses. FND speeds up the acquisition and business-to-business transfer of knowledge. It creates opportunities for spin-ins and spin-outs of technology and researchers.
