Food Valley International
Networking is an important part of the many meetings organized by the Food Valley organization. In a sector such as ours, one important precondition for ever-greater dynamism lies in our ability to create valid opportunities to meet one another.
The food sector is characterized by a growing number of non-Dutch-speaking professionals - ‘expats’ - working either in Dutch companies or with the Dutch subsidiaries of foreign ones. For them, it is not always easy to establish social or professional contact with those working in other organizations.
At the Food Valley organization, we are very aware that there is therefore an increasing need to organize meetings that include members of this international community. To meet this need, and also to contribute more broadly to an international knowledge network for the food sector, the Food Valley organization intends to organize Food Valley International meetings. We aim to organize two meetings a year, each devoted to a particular theme.
This initiative is intended to attain at least four objectives:
- giving substance to the concept of an international food community within Food Valley
- reinforcing contacts within the food community
- creating international ambassadors for Food Valley and its partners, and
- through the members of the food community, also reinforcing the international network for Food Valley and these partners.
As a member of this international network, your input is essential to give direction to this initiative. With your help we can make an inventory of the needs in the network to maximize the benefit of our activities. The result is an international network that works, where knowledge grows and opportunities are discovered.
The kick-off meeting of Food Valley International was on March 18th in the Restaurant of the Future in Wageningen. Missed it? Find an impression here.
